Paradigm
Overview
Transforming next-generation navigation in the OR into a global surgical data intelligence platform. The new way of seeing ACROSS THE CARE CONTINUUM. Meet Paradigm™, Proprio’s FDA-cleared, award-winning navigation platform that uses advanced sensors, compute, and AI to capture multi-modal surgical views and build a real-time 3D model of anatomy in order to improve precision and streamline workflows.
SEGMENTAL REGISTRATION
Paradigm uses computer vision and light‑field imaging to track anatomy continuously at the segmental level, not block‑based approximations. Registration adapts as the patient, table, and surgical field change, without repeated imaging. The goals are simple for better outcomes: Faster workflow, Fewer interruptions, Precise spinal alignment throughout the case.
ON-DEMAND MEASUREMENTS
Paradigm delivers radiation‑free measurements of spinal alignment, disc height and segmental angles directly in the OR. Surgeons can: Measure segments on-demand, Track alignment changes as they operate, Validate progress without stopping for new images. This isn’t post‑hoc analysis. It’s precision, using real images, built into existing workflows.
DATA APPLICATIONS
Every case on Paradigm generates structured, standardized data, continuously and passively. That data powers: Longitudinal learning across sites, Objective case documentation, Training and quality initiatives, A surgical data network. Paradigm doesn’t just guide surgery. It enables each surgery to teach the system.
PREOPERATIVE INTRAOPERATIVE POSTOPERATIVE
Built for Surgical Workflows. Legacy navigation depends on static images and fixed landmarks, making it difficult to keep pace with the dynamic 3D environment of real surgery. Existing systems have offered only limited ways to capture that changing anatomy in real time, creating workflow constraints in complex cases. Paradigm was engineered with sensors and proprietary algorithms designed to deliver continuous 3D context throughout the procedure. Real-time 3D Visualization and measurement* Radiation-free Implant Agnostic *Findings of independent study show real time, radiation free intraoperative assessment of alignment may enable surgeons to achieve preoperative goals of surgery more consistently. Additional findings support increase in speed when included in workflow. Designed to deliver higher ROI from every surgery. The Paradigm platform is built for precision, safety, and system-level value. By delivering an implant agnostic platform and structured surgical data, health systems can increase capacity, standardize performance, and build lasting competitive advantages, while simplifying physical infrastructure.
WORKFLOW OPTIMIZATION
Paradigm does not require intraoperative 3D imaging or mobile CT for guidance. Hospitals can consider reduced imaging needs in long-term capital planning.
AI FOUNDATION MODEL
100s of surgeons have contributed to Proprio’s AI model for surgery to power continuous and unprecedented learning.
ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS
Structured intraoperative data supports workflow optimization, safety programs, clinical training, and long-term institutional learning across surgical teams. This isn’t just about reducing costs. It’s about unlocking growth that was previously constrained by time, variability, and limited visibility.
DRIVING CLINICAL EXCELLENCE OUTCOMES AT A GLANCE: 1+HR MINUTES SAVED PER SURGERY, 30% INCREASE IN REIMBURSEMENTS, 3-4X DECREASE IN REVISION SURGERIES, 10X DECREASE IN RADIATION EXPOSURE, 20X FASTER MASTERY OF SURGERY.
PARADIGM OS REIMAGINE POSSIBILITY. We believe the next chapter of surgery won’t be written by hardware alone, but by surgeon-led, AI enabled enhanced intelligence. Proprio is building a future where surgical performance evolves through data, where insight compounds beyond individual cases, and where progress is measured not by product cycles, but by how knowledge flows across every procedure, every surgeon, and every generation.
PROPRIO PARADIGM NAMED TIME BEST INVENTION OF 2025. PROPRIO AWARDED 3RD FDA CLEARANCE FOR THE AI SURGICAL GUIDANCE PLATFORM. Paradigm received its third major 510k clearance as the first-ever technology that enables 3D, dynamic and segmental viewing of the anatomy. This marks the first time in history that surgeons will be able to measure success in real-time during surgery. PARADIGM WINS FAST COMPANY’S WORLD CHANGING IDEA AWARD 2025.
