Every request to this site passes through Cloudflare, the network in front of it, whether or not it reaches our server. These are those counts: AI assistants, search engines and scrapers, by name. Today is left out until it is complete.

An AI assistant reads a profile to answer a physician's question. A scraper copies pages in bulk; it counts as a crawler, never as an AI read.
Why this matters if you build healthcare AI
When a physician asks an assistant which AI scribe works with their EHR, or whether a tool signs a BAA, the answer is built from pages the assistant has read. You don't see the question, and you don't see the answer. If your profile is out of date, the assistant repeats it anyway: the old price, the retired feature, the integration nobody wrote down.
A claimed profile is the part of that answer you control: your own words, your current pricing, what your product actually does. Claiming takes about a minute with a work email, at no charge.
How this is counted
Cloudflare sits in front of PhysicianAITools and sees every request, including the ones answered from its cache that never reach our server. Once an hour we ask its analytics for the requests made by each named crawler, by the name it sends with every request, and add up each complete day (UTC).
An AI assistant is one that reads pages to answer people: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Meta AI and others. GPTBot, OpenAI's crawler, is counted under ChatGPT. A search engine is Google, Bing, Apple or DuckDuckGo. A scraper copies pages in bulk for SEO tools, training sets or resale; it is counted, but never as an AI read.
The figures are Cloudflare's own estimates, the same ones its dashboard shows. Human visitors are not in these numbers. The data is also available as JSON. For Microsoft Copilot's citations of our pages, see AI visibility.
