Magentiq Eye
About Magentiq Eye
Magentiq Eye is a healthcare AI company specializing in advanced decision-support software for gastrointestinal endoscopy. Their flagship product, MAGENTIQ-COLO™, is an FDA-cleared and CE-marked AI-aided colonoscopy solution designed to assist physicians in real-time polyp detection during endoscopic procedures. The system leverages deep learning, computer vision, and video analysis technologies to identify suspicious lesions, such as polyps, by highlighting them with bounding boxes on the display monitor. This technology significantly enhances adenoma detection rates (ADR) and reduces adenoma miss rates (AMR), with clinical studies demonstrating a 26% relative increase in ADR and a 48% relative decrease in AMR, ultimately contributing to a reduction in colorectal cancer incidence and mortality.
MAGENTIQ-COLO™ integrates seamlessly into existing clinical workflows, acting as an ‘additional eye’ for endoscopists without disrupting the procedure. Beyond real-time detection, the system provides valuable insights such as polyp size category and type estimation, and generates comprehensive AI-powered reports. Recent versions have expanded capabilities to include AI-based endoscopic tool detection, procedural quality (CAQ) metrics like automated Boston Bowel Preparation Score (BBPS) assessment, and cecum detection, further supporting high-quality colonoscopy outcomes. Magentiq Eye is also actively developing and clinically trialing AI tools for other gastrointestinal indications, including early dysplasia detection in Barrett’s esophagus, ulcerative colitis, and gastric intestinal metaplasia, aiming to provide a comprehensive ‘AI suit’ for gastroenterology.

What Physicians Need to Know
Magentiq Eye's MAGENTIQ-COLOu2122 system is designed to significantly enhance colonoscopy outcomes by providing real-time, AI-powered polyp detection without altering the existing clinical workflow. Physicians can expect a notable increase in Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR) and a reduction in the Adenoma Miss Rate (AMR), which directly contributes to preventing colorectal cancer. The system's high sensitivity (99.6% polyp-wise sensitivity) and specificity (98%) mean fewer missed polyps and reduced distracting false positives, allowing for more precise and confident decision-making. Furthermore, the system offers additional insights like polyp size and type (in CE-marked versions) and automated reporting, streamlining documentation and improving overall procedure quality. This technology can also help bridge the experience gap among physicians, allowing less experienced endoscopists to achieve higher detection rates.
The MAGENTIQ-COLOu2122 computing device acquires digital video output signals directly from local endoscopy towers. It is compatible with leading endoscopy systems, including Olympus, Fujinon, Pentax, and Sonoscape, ensuring seamless integration into existing clinical setups. The system operates as a 'plug-and-play' solution, maintaining the clinical workflow without requiring changes to the procedure itself. Video output with highlighted polyps can be displayed on the main screen or a separate monitor. Recorded videos and generated reports can be saved and exported for further examination and documentation.
