About Breed Reply
Breed Reply is the early-stage IoT and connected-systems investment arm of Reply, the European systems-integration and consulting group. The mandate is explicitly IoT-focused — connected industrial, smart cities, mobility, and connected health — and the fund operates as a hybrid of CVC and incubator, providing capital plus engineering support drawn from Reply’s bench of consultants. For healthcare AI founders, Breed Reply is most relevant if your company is hardware-and-software combined, with sensors, wearables, or connected devices feeding AI models — remote patient monitoring, connected medical devices, hospital IoT, and supply-chain sensors are core fits. Pure software clinical AI without a connected-device dimension is outside the thesis. Stage focus is seed, with check sizes plausibly EUR 250K to 1.5M and the option of in-kind engineering support from Reply’s teams. Founders who should approach: European hardware-and-software healthcare startups, particularly those who can benefit from Reply’s enterprise customer relationships in Europe and would value the engineering integration support as a meaningful part of the package. Founders who should not approach: pure-software digital health teams, US-only companies, and biotech. Be aware that taking a Reply-affiliated investor changes your strategic posture: future enterprise buyers may view Reply’s involvement as a competitive signal, and you should plan for that. Entry path is warm introduction through Reply’s enterprise client network or through a European IoT co-investor. Their Crunchbase and LinkedIn pages list partners and portfolio companies. Direct outbound is feasible given the structured incubation program.
